Carrd pricing, checked: the free plan, and Pro Lite, Standard and Plus at every site count

The short answer
Carrd is a builder for one-page websites: a personal profile, a landing page to collect emails, a simple product page. It has a free plan and three Pro plans, Pro Lite, Pro Standard and Pro Plus. Pro is priced by the year, not by the month, and the price depends on the plan and how many sites you want.
- Free: up to three sites on Carrd's own addresses, with Carrd's branding. Carrd's home page: “Build up to three sites per account and use all of Carrd's core features – for free!”[2]
- Pro Lite is $9 a year for 3 sites, Pro Standard $19 a year for 10 sites, Pro Plus $49 a year for 25 sites. Each has larger steps: Pro Standard and Pro Plus go up to 1,000 sites, at $599 and $999 a year.[1]
- A custom domain starts at Pro Standard. Pro Lite removes the branding but keeps you on Carrd's addresses; forms and embeds also start at Pro Standard.[3][9]
If you want one sentence: Carrd's free plan is enough to publish a simple page, and the first real decision is whether you need your own domain, because that is the line between Pro Lite and Pro Standard.

At a glance

| Sites | Pro Lite, per year | Pro Standard, per year | Pro Plus, per year |
|---|---|---|---|
| 3 | $9 | — | — |
| 10 | $14 | $19 | — |
| 25 | $29 | $39 | $49 |
| 50 | — | $69 | $89 |
| 100 | — | $119 | $159 |
| 250 | — | $249 | $349 |
| 500 | — | $399 | $599 |
| 1,000 | — | $599 | $999 |
Every step of the three Pro plans on Carrd's Pro page, read on 2026-10-04 by pressing each plan's Next button until it cycled back.[1] A dash means that plan has no step at that number of sites. All prices are per year; the page shows no monthly price.
Two things stand out. The steps overlap across plans: 25 sites can be bought on all three, at $29, $39 or $49 a year, and the difference is features, not site count. And Pro Plus at 500 sites costs the same as Pro Standard at 1,000 sites, $599 a year.
How we checked this (and what we did not check)
Last updated 2026-10-04 (first version). Every number and quotation here comes from Carrd's own pages. Prices change — confirm on Carrd's own page before you buy.
What we did. On 2026-10-04 we opened carrd.com/pro in a browser with no account and, for each of the three plans, pressed its Next control one step at a time, saving the text visible on screen at each of the 16 steps. The same day we saved Carrd's home page, its Pro documentation on plans, features, the trial, upgrading, changing plans, auto-renewal and troubleshooting, its documentation on site slots, custom domains, archiving, downloading and signup forms, its About page, and its terms of use. Wording in quotation marks is copied from those saved pages word for word, and a script checks every quotation against the saved text.
What we did not do. We have not used Carrd. There is no account, no screenshot of the product and no view here on its templates or editor. Every image is a chart or summary we drew from the saved text; none shows Carrd's logo or screens. The free Basic plan's limits beyond the site count are not listed in one place on the pages we read, so we describe it only from what the home page, terms and Pro documentation say.
What that leaves. Carrd's prices at every Pro step, what each plan and the trial include, and how its account balance, renewals, plan changes and refunds work, as published.
The free Basic plan
Carrd describes itself on its home page as “Simple, responsive, and yup — totally free.”[2] The terms define the free plan: “Becoming a registered user will provide you with a Basic plan, which is 100% free and provides access to use most of the Website Services.”[12]

- Three sites. The site slots table lists “3 site slots” for Basic. Slots are used by “Published sites, drafts, templates, and archived sites”, while “Sites moved to your trash folder do not occupy slots.”[8]
- Carrd's addresses and branding. Sites publish to .carrd.co URLs; unbranded URLs, custom domains and removing the branding are listed as Pro features.[3][9]
- No signup needed to start. The home page ends with “No signup required.”; you sign up when you want to publish and keep a site.[2]
For a single link-in-bio page or a simple landing page on a .carrd.co address, the free plan may be all you need. The moment you want your own domain, a form or no Carrd branding, you are into Pro.
The 7-day Pro trial
The Pro page offers “Try Pro free for 7 days”, and the trial documentation says there is “No payment or credit card information required”.[1][4]

- What it includes. A subset of features from across the Pro plans: custom domains, forms, advanced forms, widgets, no branding, premium templates, video uploads, analytics and more.[4]
- What it limits. “Build sites with up to 150 elements.” (the paid plans list no element limit), and the trial has the same 3 site slots as the free plan.[4][8]
- After the trial. Because the trial mixes features from different plans, the troubleshooting page warns that the plan you upgrade to may lack something you used during the trial; you can change to the plan that has it by paying the prorated difference.[7]
What each Pro plan adds
“There are currently three Pro plans to choose from: Pro Lite, Pro Standard, and Pro Plus.” The plans documentation describes each one and lists its features.[3]

| Feature | Pro Lite | Pro Standard | Pro Plus |
|---|---|---|---|
| Sites at the first step | 3 | 10 | 25 |
| No branding, high quality images, video uploads | Yes | Yes | Yes |
| Address | Premium URLs | Custom domains | Custom domains |
| Forms | No | Contact and signup forms | Advanced forms |
| Widgets, embeds, analytics, meta tags | No | Yes | Yes |
| Download sites, redirects, password protection | No | No | Yes |
Carrd's Pro plans documentation and the feature lists on its Pro page.[1][3]
- Pro Lite is described as the entry-level plan for users who do not use custom domains or the business features like forms and widgets. Its address option is “Premium URLs”: “Publish sites to unbranded URLs (like .crd.co) and punycode URLs.”[3]
- Pro Standard adds custom domains with SSL, contact and signup forms that connect to many email tools, widgets from payment and form services, your own embed code, analytics and meta tags. The documentation calls it the most popular Pro plan.[3]
- Pro Plus adds advanced forms that can send data to Zapier, Make, n8n, Airtable or a URL and take payments through Stripe Checkout, plus advanced element settings, site downloads, redirects, password protection, variables, editable site files, framing and a canonical URL setting.[3]
Two feature pages state the plan line directly: custom domains say “Requires Pro Standard or higher” and downloading a site says “Requires Pro Plus or higher”.[9][10] A downloaded site is a copy of the code only: forms in it do not work, and it cannot be uploaded back to Carrd.[10]
More sites: the steps inside each plan
Each Pro plan has a base number of sites and larger steps. The site slots table names them: Pro Lite, Pro Lite 10 and Pro Lite 25; Pro Standard up to Pro Standard 1000; Pro Plus up to Pro Plus 1000.[8]

- What uses a slot. Published sites, drafts, templates and archived sites all take a slot; when you are full you cannot add, clone, accept transferred or restore sites until you free a slot or upgrade.[8] Archiving a site only hides its thumbnail and does not free a slot.[11]
- Same count, different plan. At 25 sites, Pro Lite 25 is $29, Pro Standard 25 is $39 and Pro Plus is $49 a year. If you need many simple pages without your own domains, the Lite steps cost less for the same number of sites.[1]
- Price per site falls with size. On Pro Standard, 10 sites cost $19 a year and 1,000 sites $599 a year — by our arithmetic, the price per site drops from just under two dollars at 10 sites to just under sixty cents at 1,000.
Paying by the year: what three years cost
Carrd's prices are yearly, so the useful comparison is across years rather than months. The Pro page says: “Automatically renew yearly or simply pay as you go – whichever works for you.”[1]

| Plan and sites | One year | Paid for two years | Paid for three years |
|---|---|---|---|
| Pro Lite, 3 sites | $9 | $18 | $27 |
| Pro Lite, 25 sites | $29 | $58 | $87 |
| Pro Standard, 10 sites | $19 | $38 | $57 |
| Pro Standard, 50 sites | $69 | $138 | $207 |
| Pro Standard, 1,000 sites | $599 | $1,198 | $1,797 |
| Pro Plus, 25 sites | $49 | $98 | $147 |
| Pro Plus, 100 sites | $159 | $318 | $477 |
Yearly prices from the Pro page;[1] the two- and three-year columns are our arithmetic, assuming you renew at the same price. The terms say Carrd “may revise the pricing” for what it sells at any time.[12]
Fees are quoted before tax: the terms say “Fees are quoted by us exclusive of value added tax or any equivalent sales tax.”[12]
The account balance and auto-renew
Carrd does not bill a card directly for a plan in the usual way. The terms describe an account balance: you fund it by PayPal or card, and the balance pays for a Pro plan or its renewal.[12]

- Auto-renew is optional. “Note that auto-renewal is 100% optional (you're free to simply pay as you go) and can be easily turned on or off at any time.”[5]
- How auto-renew pays. It draws on your account balance before the plan's end date, so the documentation advises funding the balance ahead of time or adding a saved payment method to top it up automatically.[6]
- If it cannot pay. With too little balance and no saved payment method, the terms say “your account will, after a short grace period, be automatically downgraded to the free Basic plan and your sites will lose access to any Pro features they may be using.”[12]
- Balance rules. Balances are held in US dollars, cannot be withdrawn except for Carrd's own payouts and refunds it chooses to grant, and can only buy Carrd products.[12]
In practice: if you do not turn on auto-renew, the plan simply runs to its end date and you renew by hand when you choose. If a custom domain matters to you, note that falling back to Basic removes Pro features from your sites.
Changing plans and refunds
- Moving up. The price reflects a one-time discount for time left on your current plan. Carrd's example: “For example, if you're 6 months into a Pro Standard plan ($19/year), you'll get approximately $10 off when upgrading to a higher cost plan like Pro Plus.”[13]
- Moving down. You receive a one-time balance credit for the time remaining. The terms add that, on request, Carrd may at its discretion refund all or part of that credit.[12][13]
- Before a downgrade. Sites that use features the new plan lacks, such as forms or a custom domain when moving to Pro Lite, have to be changed first.[7]
- Refunds. The terms: “ALL PURCHASES AND REDEMPTIONS OF VIRTUAL ITEMS MADE THROUGH THE SERVICE ARE FINAL AND NON-REFUNDABLE.” and Carrd says it is not required to provide a refund for any reason, while reserving the right to grant one.[12]
Because plans are cheap and yearly, the main risk is not a large charge but buying the wrong plan; the trial and the prorated upgrade path are the ways Carrd offers to correct that.
Custom domains and other costs
- The domain itself. “The custom domain must be registered before you can use it on Carrd.” Carrd does not sell domains on the pages we read; its guide points to domain providers.[9]
- Setting it up. You add an A record and a CNAME record at your domain provider; SSL is included, and initialising can take up to an hour.[9]
- Forms and email tools. Signup forms connect to email services such as Mailchimp, Kit, MailerLite, GetResponse, Ghost and others, from Pro Standard; the email service is a separate account with its own pricing.[1][3]
- Payments. Pro Standard can embed widgets from Stripe, PayPal and Gumroad; Pro Plus advanced forms can take payments through Stripe Checkout. Those services charge their own fees.[3]
- Images and video. Pro plans allow images and GIFs up to 16MB and videos up to 64MB.[3]
Where Carrd's pages disagree

- The starting price. Both the home page and the Pro page say “Go Pro from just $19 / year (yup, per year)”, while the Pro page's own plan list starts with Pro Lite at $9 a year.[1][2] The $19 line matches Pro Standard, the first plan with custom domains.
- More than three sites. Under Pro features, the home page says “Build and publish more than three sites from a single Carrd account.”[2] Pro Lite at its first step has 3 sites, the same as the free plan; more sites start at Pro Lite 10 or Pro Standard.[1][8]
We have not asked Carrd about either line. We do not know why the lines differ; the plan list and the documentation are what we used for prices.
Which plan fits which situation
| If you are… | Look at | Why, from Carrd's pages | Watch out for |
|---|---|---|---|
| Making one simple page on a Carrd address | Free (Basic) | Up to three sites with the core features[2] | Carrd branding; no custom domain or forms[3] |
| Wanting a clean page without your own domain | Pro Lite, $9 a year | No branding, unbranded URLs, video[3] | Still 3 sites; no forms[3] |
| Using your own domain or collecting emails | Pro Standard, $19 a year | Custom domains, signup forms, embeds[3][9] | The domain is bought separately[9] |
| Sending form data elsewhere or taking payments in a form | Pro Plus, $49 a year | Advanced forms, downloads, redirects[3] | Downloaded sites lose working forms[10] |
| Building many pages for clients or projects | A larger step of any plan | Up to 1,000 sites on Standard and Plus[1] | Drafts and archived sites also use slots[8] |
| Not wanting automatic charges | Any Pro plan | Auto-renew is optional[5] | Without renewal, sites lose Pro features[12] |
