Moosend pricing, checked: the 30-day trial and the Pro plan at every contact count, monthly, biannual and annual
Last updated 2026-10-04 · By Smart Pick Desk editors · Prices read on Moosend's pricing page at all 21 contact counts in all three billing modes on 2026-10-04; FAQ page read the same day · We have not used Moosend · How we checked ↓
The short answer
Moosend is an email marketing tool: newsletters, automations, sign-up forms and landing pages. Its self-serve plan is called Pro and is priced by the number of contacts on your list. There is no ongoing free plan — there is a 30-day trial with no card — and Pro starts at $9 a month for 500 contacts billed monthly, or $7 a month billed annually.
- Trial: 30 days, no credit card, unlimited sends for up to 1,000 contacts, with some features capped.[1]
- Pro by contacts: $16 a month at 1,000 contacts, $48 at 5,000 and $88 at 10,000 on monthly billing; lower on biannual and annual billing.[1]
- Two other ways to pay: email credits for occasional senders, and a custom Moosend+ plan with add-ons.[1]
If you want one sentence: Moosend's price is set by the size of your list, and the choice of billing mode takes roughly 15% or 20% off, but the exact saving at your list size can differ from the label by a few points.

Moosend's pricing page, read on 2026-10-04 at each contact option in each billing mode.[1] The page prints a per-month price; on biannual and annual billing it shows the monthly price struck through next to the lower one. The full list of 21 contact counts is below.
Under the billing switch the page explains the two longer options: “Save 15% automatically—pay twice a year” and “Save 20% automatically—pay once a year”.[1] Biannual here means every six months.
How we checked this (and what we did not check)
Last updated 2026-10-04 (first version). Every number and quotation here comes from Moosend's own pages. Prices change — confirm on Moosend's own page before you sign up.
What we did. On 2026-10-04 we opened moosend.com/pricing in a browser with no account and saved the page text, including its Compare Plans table and its pricing FAQ. Then, for each of the three billing buttons (Monthly, Biannual, Annual), we chose each of the 21 options in the “How many contacts do you have?” menu and saved the text visible on screen — 63 saves in all. The same day we saved Moosend's general FAQ page. Wording in quotation marks is copied from those saved pages word for word, and a script checks every quotation against the saved text.
What we did not do. We have not used Moosend. There is no account, no screenshot of the product and no view here on its editor, automations or deliverability. Every image is a chart or summary we drew from the saved text; none shows Moosend's logo or screens. We also tried to save Moosend's terms and conditions, but the page text did not load beyond the menu, so we do not quote the terms; refund rules in particular are not covered here. The prices of email credits and of the custom Moosend+ plan were not in the text we saved.
What that leaves. The trial, the Pro plan at every contact count in all three billing modes, how contacts are counted, email credits in outline, and the downgrade and cancellation rules, as published.
No free plan: the 30-day trial
The banner at the top of the pricing page: “Try core features with a 30-day free trial, no credit card required.”[1]

- What the trial includes. The pricing FAQ: “You’ll also get unlimited email sends (for up to 1,000 contacts) and access to email and live chat support.”[1]
- Where it is capped. The Compare Plans table shows the trial with automation workflows at “1 Published”, and subscription forms and landing pages at “1 (Unpublished)” each — you can build one, but not put it live. Custom reports are limited to one dashboard, and the trial allows 2 team members against 5 on Pro.[1]
- After the trial. “When your free trial ends, you can either upgrade to a subscription plan or purchase email credits.” The FAQ says your account and data stay intact.[1]
| Row in the Compare Plans table | Free Trial | Pro | Moosend+ | Enterprise |

| Marketing automation workflows | 1 Published | Tick (no number) | Tick | Tick |
| Subscription forms | 1 (Unpublished) | Tick | Tick | Tick |
| Landing pages | 1 (Unpublished) | Tick | Tick | Tick |

Compare Plans table on the pricing page.[1] Cells that are ticks or blanks on the page do not come through as text; the words Tick and Not shown in this table are our reading of the layout, not Moosend's wording, and only the numbers and words in the other cells are printed by Moosend. We include the table because the numbers are the part of the comparison most people miss: the trial caps forms and landing pages at one each and does not let you publish them. Treat the tick columns as indicative and check the live table before relying on a feature.
So the trial is a real test of sending, but not of collecting sign-ups from a live form. If you want to see how many people a form brings in, that needs a paid plan.
Every contact count
The contact menu on the pricing page has 21 options. These are all of them, in the three billing modes, as printed per month.
| Contacts | Monthly billing | Biannual (per month) | Annual (per month) |
|---|---|---|---|
| 500 | $9 | $8 | $7 |
| 1,000 | $16 | $14 | $13 |
| 2,000 | $24 | $20 | $19 |
| 3,000 | $32 | $27 | $26 |
| 5,000 | $48 | $41 | $38 |
| 8,000 | $64 | $54 | $51 |
| 10,000 | $88 | $75 | $70 |
| 25,000 | $160 | $136 | $128 |
| 50,000 | $315 | $268 | $252 |
| 75,000 | $416 | $354 | $333 |
| 100,000 | $624 | $530 | $499 |

| 200,000 | $1,216 | $1,034 | $973 |
| 250,000 | $1,520 | $1,292 | $1,216 |
| 300,000 | $1,808 | $1,537 | $1,446 |
| 400,000 | $2,352 | $1,999 | $1,882 |
| 500,000 | $2,896 | $2,462 | $2,317 |
| 600,000 | $3,536 | $3,006 | $2,829 |
| 700,000 | $4,080 | $3,468 | $3,264 |
| 800,000 | $4,640 | $3,944 | $3,712 |
| 1,000,000 | $5,840 | $4,964 | $4,672 |
Pricing page, each contact option in each billing mode, read 2026-10-04.[1]
The steps are uneven. Between 10,000 and 25,000 contacts there is no option at all, so a list of 11,000 pays the 25,000 price: $160 a month on monthly billing against $88 at 10,000. The same jump happens between 8,000 and 10,000 at a smaller scale. Since the price follows the option you are in, keeping the list just under a boundary — by removing people who never open — can matter more than the billing mode.
Monthly, biannual or annual
Moosend has three billing buttons where most tools have two. Monthly can be cancelled at any time; biannual is paid every six months; annual once a year.[1]

| Contacts | Monthly price | 12 monthly payments | Annual billing, 12 months | Less over a year |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| 1,000 | $16 | $192 | $156 | $36 |
| 5,000 | $48 | $576 | $456 | $120 |
| 10,000 | $88 | $1,056 | $840 | $216 |
| 25,000 | $160 | $1,920 | $1,536 | $384 |
| 100,000 | $624 | $7,488 | $5,988 | $1,500 |
Monthly and annual per-month prices from the pricing page;[1] the 12-month columns and the difference are our arithmetic. Moosend prints per-month prices only, not the amount charged once a year.
Biannual sits in between. Over twelve months at 5,000 contacts, by our arithmetic, monthly billing comes to $576, biannual to $492 and annual to $456. Biannual commits you for six months instead of twelve, for a saving that is smaller but not much smaller.
Put another way, the choice between the three buttons is a choice about how sure you are of the next year. If your list is growing, a long commitment at today's size is not a trap, because moving up a contact step takes effect when you need it; the risk is the other direction. If you expect the list to shrink — for example after cleaning out people who never open — a downgrade waits for the end of the paid term, so a smaller list does not lower the bill until then. For a list that is stable, the annual price is the lowest in every row of the table above. For a new list whose size you cannot predict, starting on monthly billing for the first few months and switching once the number settles costs a few dollars a month at small sizes: $3 a month at 1,000 contacts and $10 a month at 5,000, by our arithmetic from the printed prices.
How big the annual discount really is
The page labels annual billing “Save 20%”. Because the prices are rounded to whole dollars, the real saving at small list sizes moves around that figure.

- Above 20%: 500 contacts (22.2%: $7 against $9), 2,000 and 5,000 (20.8%), 10,000 (20.5%) and 8,000 (20.3%).
- Below 20%: 1,000 and 3,000 contacts (18.8%: $13 against $16, $26 against $32).
- Exactly 20.0%: 25,000, 50,000, 75,000 and 100,000 contacts.
All percentages are our arithmetic from the printed per-month prices.[1] The biannual “Save 15%” behaves the same way: 14.6% at 5,000 contacts ($41 against $48), for example. None of these gaps is large in dollars, but if you are comparing Moosend with another tool on the strength of the percentage, the table above is the more exact figure.
Discounts on top. The pricing FAQ: “Moosend also offers nonprofit organizations a 25% discount, which can be applied on top of the standard 20% discount for annual plans.”[1]
How contacts are counted
- Unique addresses. “Note that Moosend counts unique email addresses.” Someone on several lists or segments is billed once.[1]
- Going over. If your list grows past your plan's limit you need to upgrade to a plan that covers it; a banner in the account warns you.[1]
- Sending is unlimited. The FAQ page describes subscriptions as plans where “you get unlimited emails sent to your subscribers each month”, with features according to the plan.[2]
- Payment. “Moosend accepts credit cards and PayPal.”[1]
The practical effect: the bill tracks list size, not how often you send. A weekly newsletter and a daily one cost the same at the same list size.
Email credits
For people who send rarely, Moosend sells credits instead of a subscription.

- How they work. “Each credit equals one email to a single recipient.” You get a notice when 80% are used.[1]
- No expiry. “Note that the email credits you purchase for your Moosend account never expire, so you can use them at your own pace.”[1]
- Who they suit. The FAQ page says credits are more flexible for businesses that do not send often or have varying volumes, while subscriptions are for regular email marketing.[2]
We could not read credit prices in the text we saved, so we cannot say at what sending volume credits cost less than a subscription. One way to think about it: a list of 1,000 sent one campaign a month uses 1,000 credits a month; the subscription for that list is $13 to $16 a month depending on billing.
Large lists and Moosend+

The Pro ladder goes up to 1,000,000 contacts, at $4,672 a month on annual billing.[1] Above Pro there are two other options on the page:
- Moosend+: “Custom Plan” — all Pro features plus the Enterprise add-ons you pick, such as transactional emails, dedicated IPs, custom reports, SSO and SAML, hosted files and more team members. Pricing comes through a contact form.[1]
- Enterprise: all features with an account manager and priority support, also custom.[1]
Transactional email (receipts, password resets) is an add-on in Moosend+ according to the Compare table, even though the FAQ says Moosend supports it through SMTP and an API.[1]
Downgrading and cancelling
- Downgrades. If your list shrinks you can move down: “The change will take effect at the end of your current billing cycle, whether it’s monthly, bi-annual, or annual, so you won’t lose any time you’ve already paid for.”[1]
- Cancelling. From the Billing section, with the “Cancel Subscription Plan” button. The FAQ page adds: “It is important to note that your cancellation will only become effective at the end of your current, paid term.”[2]
- Refunds. Neither page we saved describes refunds, and the terms did not load for us, so we cannot state the rule. Ask Moosend before paying for a year.
- Security note. “Currently, Moosend does not offer two-factor authentication (2FA).” SSO and SAML are available on some plans.[2]
- Ownership. The site states “Moosend is now a Constant Contact company.”[2]
Because changes and cancellations run to the end of the paid term, an annual plan commits you for twelve months and a biannual one for six.
Where Moosend's pages disagree

- Two billing modes or three. The FAQ page: “Subscriptions: These are monthly or annual plans where you pay a fixed fee based on the number of subscribers you have.”[2] The pricing page has a third, biannual, option.[1]
- How full the trial is. The FAQ page says “You can access our full range of features for 30 days without any cost.”[2] The pricing page's Compare table limits the trial to one published workflow and one unpublished form and landing page.[1]
- The 20% label. As shown above, the printed prices give between 18.8% and 22.2% at smaller list sizes (our arithmetic).[1]
We have not asked Moosend which wording is current. The prices on the pricing page are what we used throughout.
